Eligible Users :
Use of equipment in the Nikon Imaging Centre for research purposes is available to all researchers.
Application for Training
If you would like to use the equipment in the Nikon Imaging Centre, please first contact the NIMCE’s manager. All users must be trained by the staff of Nikon Imaging Centre prior any use of instruments and prior to gain access to the Centre.
Any user must be imperatively trained
on the selected equipment. It is strictly forbidden to use a microscope
without preliminary training by one of the members of the Nikon imaging
Centre. No software must be installed on the imaging PCs.
Online Equipment Booking System :
All users must sign up the access policy’s form and
accept its terms. It allows to have access to the NIMCE’s equipment and
to the Online Equipment Booking System.
All trainning and system are charged. For external users we propose :
For the external users, the charges could be reduced if you have a project with the RTRA labelled Pierre Gilles de Gennes's Fondation.
Data storage:No data must be stored on the hard drives of the acquisition equipment (we will be tolerant depending of the disk space available and according to the station concerned). All the data must be saved in the repertory "X:\Users\prénom.nom \", X: being the user disk. Data on the desk or in another folder will be deleted without warning!
At the end of your session, you must erase your data as quickly as possible. Consequently, envisage a sufficient time to carry out your transfers towards a personal hard drive or on the servers.
Acknowledgement Policy :
For a better visibility of our activity and within the
framework of our grant applications (meaning, in the general interest),
the research work published using the advanced microscopy equipments of
the NIMCe must at least comprise an "Ackownledgement" to the platform
and its staff in the article. Please use the following denomination: "The
authors greatly acknowledge the Nikon Imaging Centre @ Institut
Curie-CNRS, member of the French National Research
Infrastructure France-BioImaging (ANR-10-INSB-04”.
Biological materials and risks :
Our acquisition systems are not equipped for work with pathogenic agents or radioactive products. Their use is thus strictly prohibited on the whole platform. We remind users that there always remains a risk when handling biological samples and that the microscopes must be regarded as potentially contaminated. So as in the laboratories, it is forbidden to consume food or drinks.
